Youth Outreach Opportunities

The Youth Services Department of Derby Public Library provides many opportunities for patrons inside the library, from reader's advisory, reading challenges, to age-group specific events and programs. But what if your students, daycare kids, or summer camp can't visit the library? Well...we will come to you!

We can custom design an outreach visit to your organization or facility. We offer storytimes, craft time, or library education instruction. If your group is interested in signing up for library cards, we offer a process to register your students for cards. In addition, we can facilitate field trips to the library and offer tours, read aloud groups, homeschool library instruction courses, library scavenger hunts, and crafts.
