In the link below you will find a screenshot showing a typical patron account page used by staf. Circled in red is our notification preferences which gives you the choice of receiving sms or email notifications or opting out and no notifications at all. For patrons to opt in, they have to verbally tell us they would like sms messages, we then manually enter the phone number into the required field and select an sms provider.
